Trade enquiries welcome. Vintech services cameras, lenses, film and video equipment for retailers, studios, production companies, hire houses and other Melbourne organisations.

Trade enquiries welcome.

Vintech is an independent service centre in the Melbourne CBD, and a good deal of the equipment on our bench belongs to a business rather than an individual. If you look after gear as part of your work — whether that is a shop counter, a studio kit, a hire fleet or a teaching collection — you are welcome to get in touch.

Who we work with

  • Camera retailers and dealers handling repairs and assessments on behalf of customers, or preparing second-hand stock.
  • Photographic and video studios maintaining in-house bodies, lenses and video equipment.
  • Production companies with cameras that need attention between shoots.
  • Hire houses keeping a rental inventory serviceable and checked over between hires.
  • Universities, TAFEs and schools running shared equipment stores that see heavy, varied use.
  • Other organisations with an equipment fleet — anywhere a mixed collection of cameras and lenses has to keep working.

Why an independent workshop suits a fleet

Vintech is an independent service centre and we repair all brands, makes and models. A fleet is rarely all one make, and it is rarely all one era: a store or a hire inventory usually holds current mirrorless bodies alongside older DSLRs, a spread of lenses from different manufacturers, and often video equipment and film cameras too.

A spread of camera bodies and lenses from a range of manufacturers

Rather than splitting that across several manufacturer service channels, the whole inventory can be dealt with through one workshop. Vintech’s services are provided for all types of digital cameras, lenses, film cameras and video cameras — see our services for what each involves, and the brands we regularly service for the makes we see most often.

Getting in touch

The most useful thing you can do is talk to us about what you have and what you need looked at. Ring the workshop or send an email with a description of the equipment and the faults, and we will tell you how to proceed.

Opening hours and directions are on the contact page. Quote times, service timeframes and warranty periods are set out on warranty and turnaround.
